Casa Vista Serena
This spectacular home is sited atop a hill, overlooking the beautiful Northern New Mexico landscape, in aspect to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. The serene landscape is appreciated from every space throughout the home. Large floor to ceiling windows allow the interior to open to the outside while taking into consideration protection for the owners art. Outdoor living and dining are protected overhead with a large cantilevered portal that creates uninterrupted views. The primary bath outdoor shower allows the homeowners to soak in the warm Santa Fe sunshine while feeling private and expansive. This home was expertly executed to take in the views and create privacy at the same time.

We knew when bying our lot that we'd have wonderful views of the Sangres, the Badlands, and to the west. What we did not envision was how expertly the PRAXIS Design team would site the house to take exquisite advantage of those view. As I write this, I am looking out from my perfectly oriented office window to Triangle Peak. The careful planning, design and engineering in the early stages, and throughout, have given us a 360 view on the world. It's sublime. Equally important, everyone at PRAXIS was exceedingly patient with us during the design and build process, as we asked for changes and add-ons. And a personal thank you: although I resisted it, I'm glad PRAXIS convinced me to go with our beautiful, contemporary, remote controlled gas fireplace. I'd been a purist when it came to wood-burning fireplaces, but on these very cold mornings of late, an instant, warm fire is just right. MGC
